This one-day intensive course covers both theory and practical application of microneedling on live models. The training includes the use of a dermaroller or dermapen to insert very fine short needles into the skin for rejuvenation. The process activates the body’s own healing mechanism, releasing growth factors, natural collagen, and elastin, resulting in the reduction of fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of ageing. Learners will also learn effective procedures to cause less damage to the visible outer layers of the skin than traditional dermaroller microneedling, providing quicker healing times and faster results. Furthermore, learners will understand the parameters of treatment for the face and body, product uses for each skin condition, and provide needling applications to the superficial papillary dermis. This treats various skin conditions and uses the body’s own natural healing process to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, sun-damaged skin, uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, scars, acne scarring, melasma, stretch marks, and more, in a method with rapid healing times and quick results for clients.

The course is structured around theory, and blends home study and class-room tuition, practical on live models. We will provide you full support and give you a guideline throughout until you complete your course.

Entry Requirements:

• An adult aged 18 and over
• Holding Level 3 in Beauty Therapy (or equivalent)
  • There are no fixed entry requirements. Although we recommend that you already hold relevant qualifications before taking this course (e.g. NVQ Beauty therapy Level 3). If you do not possess a qualification, please contact us to discuss and we can advise. Please note, however, that most insurance companies require that you hold a level 3 to obtain insurance. If you are a medical professional (e.g. doctor, nurse), you can enroll without any beauty qualifications.

Theory and Practical Training:

This is a one-day intensive course covering both the theory and practical application of microneedling on a live model. Learners will develop knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, and customer service skills pertaining to level 4 non-medical aesthetic therapies.

Treatment Procedure:

The microneedling process involves using a pen made up of micro-fine needles that range in diameter from 0.5 to 3.0 millimetres. This activates the body’s own healing mechanism, releasing growth factors, collagen, and elastin, resulting in reduced fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of ageing. The course covers effective procedures to cause less damage to the visible outer layers of the skin compared to traditional dermaroller microneedling, providing quicker healing times and faster results. Learners will also understand the parameters of treatment for the face and body, product uses for each skin condition, and needling applications to the superficial papillary dermis to treat various skin conditions.

Safety Protocols:

Throughout the course, learners will be trained in health and safety precautions, including the analysis of contraindications and contra-actions, and pre and post-treatment aftercare advice. This ensures that learners are well-equipped to perform treatments safely and effectively.

Kits:

All necessary products for practice on the training day are provided.

Uniform:

To attend this course, you are required to wear a black tunic with black trousers and flat shoes (no heels) in black. If you don’t have a uniform, it’s available for purchase at the school.

Certification:

Upon completion, you will receive a CPD certificate.
