The Level 4 Certificate in Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)  course is an internationally recognised qualification based on the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for beauty therapy. This qualification is endorsed and backed by the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA). It is an advanced qualification that is ideal for beauty therapists or medical specialists aiming to become qualified laser aesthetic technicians.

This course will enhance your knowledge and skills, enabling you to effectively perform IPL and laser treatments for skin rejuvenation and hair removal tailored to individual client requirements within a practical working environment. The course will cover the identification of hazards and the management of risks, including health and safety measures for operating laser technology.

Course Structure:
• UV30468 Client care and communication in beauty-related industries
• UV40413 Laser and light treatments for hair removal
• UV40414 Laser and light treatments for skin rejuvenation
• UV40462 Management of health, safety and security in the salon

The course includes:
The course is structured around theory, home study, classroom tuition, homework assignments, practical demonstrations, completion of a portfolio with references and evidence ( no online exam). We will offer you full support and guidance until you successfully finish your course.

You don’t need to bring a model
We understand that finding a model for practical assessment can be very frustrating and a big hassle. We will provide you with a model for practical work, but if you prefer to bring your own model you are welcome to. We want to see your success and complete this course with full confidence. We ensure you have enough theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

Course fees and payment term:
Course Fee: £1,560

Full payment must be made before the first day of the course.

Cancellation and Refund policy:
All course fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Where cancellations are permitted, at the discretion of the Academy management, they must be received in writing and this must be within 7 days of making payment, and must be received not less than 7 days before the course commences.

Kits: 
No kit are required for this course

Uniform: 
To attend this course you are required to wear a white tunic, flat shoes (no heels).

Entry requirements:
An adult aged 18 and over

There are no fixed entry requirements. Although we recommend that you already hold relevant qualifications before taking this course (e.g. VTCT beauty therapy level 2/3). If you do not possess a qualification, please contact us to discuss and we can advise. Please note, however, that most insurance companies require that you hold a level 3 to obtain insurance.

If you are a medical professional (e.g. doctor, nurse), you can enrol without any beauty qualifications.
